My Back Story

“It all started with a snoring spouse. A quiet night’s sleep was what I needed but was not getting. I went from bedroom to bedroom in search of sound slumber. I wrote My Daddy Snores as a testament to my yawning.”

With decades of consulting experience in the financial and corporate sectors, Nancy brings an understanding of how sleep impacts productivity, profitability, and corporate culture — as well as health care costs and safety.

Recognizing that sleep can be integrated into the strategy, products, and customer experience of companies in myriad sectors, Nancy serves as a sleep strategist for leadership teams evaluating and engaging in the business of sleep. For those already in the business of sleep, she supports strategic planning to optimize products, services, and revenue.

In addition to frequent media engagements, public speaking, and writing, Nancy’s compelling presentations and lectures about sleep — live or virtual — are customized for each audience.

Inspired by personal experience, Nancy authored My Daddy Snores, a children’s book published by Scholastic Inc. that has sold over 500,000 copies. Her course on LinkedIn Learning, Sleep Is Your Superpower, has engaged over 400,000 learners. As an Adjunct Faculty member at NYU, Nancy developed and taught one of the first online courses on sleep wellness.

Nancy recently completed her term as a member of the National Institutes of Health Sleep Disorders Research Advisory Board and serves on the Steering Committee of MyApnea.org. References are available upon request.
